Low-Capacity Communication Card

A card that does the talking on the days speech costs too much — with room for who speaks for you, if someone else carries the words.

A keep-close version. Read it here, or screenshot this page to have it on your phone — print and PDF copies will appear once final files are attached.

For the days when conversation isn't possible. Point to answer. Nothing about using fewer words says anything about understanding — the thoughts are intact even when the sentences are not.

The answers I need on the card

Choose the ones that fit. These become the card's big, pointable lines.

Who speaks for me, if needed

With your consent, and only as far as you've agreed — a supporter can carry your standard scripts.

Name, and how far

e.g. Anna — she has my saved messages and knows to check first

The one thing people should know

Written at the top of the card

e.g. I can hear you fine — I just can't speak today.

Yes/no, gestures, pointing and written cards are complete communication. Using them is not a downgrade of the conversation — it's the conversation, at the size today allows.
