My Enough for Today
Building a gentle evidence base against the shoulds — one line at a time, at whatever pace life allows.
A keep-close version. Read it here, or screenshot this page to have it on your phone — print and PDF copies will appear once final files are attached.
A one-line record of what today's honest 'enough' was. Not a gratitude journal and not a to-do ledger — evidence, gathered slowly, for the days the 'should be doing more' voice needs answering.
Today's enough
One line. What was enough today is allowed to be small — small is what today held.
My line
e.g. Resting when I needed it; one message sent; ate properly. Enough.
What counted today (if it helps to see it listed)
- Rested when I needed to — deliberately
- Ate, drank, took medication — the basics held
- One honest connection — a message, a word
- Noticed something good, however small
- Kept a promise to myself, tiny counts
- Was honest about capacity instead of overriding it
What the 'should' voice says today
And the answer it gets
e.g. 'You did nothing.' — Rest was the plan, and the basics held. That's not nothing.
A week of these lines is a more accurate account of your life than any single difficult day. Evidence, gathered slowly, is how self-trust returns — the same way it was lost.
