Stop Points Card

Write where each activity ends before you start it, so stopping is a decision you made when rested.

A keep-close version. Read it here, or screenshot this page to have it on your phone — print and PDF copies will appear once final files are attached.

Decisions made mid-task, when capacity is already dropping, tend to be optimistic. This card holds your stop points, decided in advance — so ending is a plan arriving on time, not a collapse needing explaining.

Common stop points worth writing

  • One room cleaned — then a deliberate lie-downNot the whole flat
  • The shower, seated — then nothing else upright for an hour
  • The shop — list only, with a rest in the car before driving
  • The visit — one hour, then the goodbye without renegotiating it
  • The call — ten minutes, then 'I'm going to rest now'
  • The good day — one meaningful thing, one gentle necessary thing, rest

My stop points

The line that ends the activity, written where you'll see it before you start.

Activity — and where it ends

e.g. Cooking: everything chopped by 6, seated breaks between stages, pan off by 6:40

'I'm going to stop here — this was my planned stopping point' is a complete sentence, for other people and for yourself.
